I do something called Parks On The Air (POTA) in which guys & gals take their ham radios out to Parks, WMAs, BLM, USFS, etc. We make at least 10 contacts on a designated property before moving onto the next one. I do a lot of my Activations from picnic tables, etc. Sometimes a WMA has no amenities like a place to operate or hide from the rain, wind, & cold. The Soaring Eagle presents some interesting possibilities where you bring your shelter with you. If you are a full-time RVer like me, but have a motorhome, you may even be able to flat tow this small truck camper behind you if it is so flat-tow equipped. If you aren't a regular RVer, or are a hunter, this may be a good scouting vehicle as well. Hmmm, the possibilities.

That is what we found out too . When we shower I put on both other I have on electric only. Works grate that way.

From an Aerodynamic standpoint, you need to pull it backwards, the front is an Aero disaster! The underbelly is also an Aerodynamic disaster! If you want the most Aerodynamic Travel Trailer, you needn't look any further than the Airstream Classic! 👍 🇺🇲

Great way to present a solar option for a large RV! He mounted the panels spaced above the roof which allows cooling air under them to run more efficient then if they were mounted directly on the roof. MDC and other Australian designed trailers mount their factory solar that way as well.

Hello Paul We live in our camper as camp host for 6 months out of the year. we have the same camper 265BH. I use the navy shower use about 12 gallons. per shower. yes use gas and electric when showering.

I saw one of these at an RV show - It's like they took one of their trailers and squeezed into a pick-up bed. Just consider the high cabbies as temporary stashes to be emptied before you leave the campsite and update your rear springs and shocks for the weight. And you'd be well ahead of anything else you could place in the bed of a truck!

This is the first video i have seen mention the static load rating of the rack system being up to around 300lb. Is the static rating officially that low? For a rooftop tent application mentioned here if overall weight in static load application has to be under 300lb including tent then that really limits options or for small children only.

A rear lounge area is my favorite layout. In the U shape dinette setup, Is there a weight limit on who can sit on top of the 2 drawers base?

I’ve been studying the specs of these new trailers pretty deeply and I have some thoughts about it. They went ahead and dropped that Battleborne LifePO4 battery in the units yet no standard inverter unless you ask for an “upgrade package”. An entire propane tank and plumbing all just for the two burner stove and quick connect. If all of the other major appliances are 120vac ( the water heater, the heater, the ac unit, etc) they WHY is Propane still a thing? Just eliminate all of the propane stuff and put an inverter in it STANDARD. Now we will be off to the races. In my opinion, this trailer is still in-between technologies and needs to commit to one or the other. I LOVE that they increased the water tank size. This is the right direction. I hope Nucamp hears this comment. I will be a customer in the future when they release this rig properly set up and not a smorgasbord buffet of different appliance fuel types.

These are well designed and well built and will serve the average camper well who ALWAYS spends the night with hook - ups. The more expensive 3-way refrigerator they used to put in these was far more efficient burning propane while Boondocking. The electric refrigerator in this one will require 3 times the solar cells and storage capacity. What happened to the mesh to hold things in the top selves with a lip? Where is the spare tire? Good point about the need to treat the cassette just like a holding tank Paul.

So there it is in living proof the Grand Design uses the flex hose improperly attached to the wrong fittings that aren't even the correct size. Their hose/fittings aren't code by any means.
